Do I have to make a one year commitment?
No. If you are not fully satisfied with the class, you dont need to pay for the
second and third installments. The first installment is refundable on a prorated basis.
My daughter is four year old. Can I enroll her in Bharatnatyam class?
No. The minimum age for Bharatnayam is 7 years. Minimum ages are listed next
to each class on the Classes page.
Do I have to get the instruments?
Yes. The teacher will provide the requirement for the instrument and accessories.
The Academy can refer you to local music stores.
Will we get any discount if we take more than 2 classes per family?
Yes, there is a discount of 5 % on the tuition fee if you enroll in 3 or more classes.
Will the parents be able to observe the class?
The parents will be able to observe the first class. Thereafter, they can watch
from outside the class.
What if we go to India for two months?
If you go to India or any other place for a vacation lasting more than 2 weeks,
please notify the academy at least a month in advance and the pro-rated amount
will be credited towards next tuition fee installment.
Is the registration fee refundable?
If a class is cancelled due to lack of sufficient number of students, then the
registration fee will be refunded . But if the class is offered, then the
registration fee is non refundable.
Will there be multiple faculties for a particular art form?
There might be multiple faculties for any particular art form.
I have a one year old child. Can I enroll her in some class?
Currently, we are not offering any class for children less than 3 years. In future,
we intend to provide classes suitable for infants. For example, some "mommy and me"
type Indian mythological story telling classes for students 18 months or older .
We have just moved from a different city and my seven year old daughter has learnt
Bharatnatyam in that city for two years. Which level will she be in?
The level and skill of the student will be assessed by the teacher on the first
day of the class and the student will be placed in an appropriate level. It is
entirely at the teachers discretion to assign the student a particular level.
