She was born in Calcutta, India. Currently, she lives in Ashburn, Virginia with her family. She is formally trained in both Indian and Western style of drawing and painting. She started learning drawing and painting at a very young age. She completed five years at The Birla Academy of Fine Arts in Calcutta. Her art works had been exhibited many times in the gallery of The Birla Academy of Fine Arts. Later, she learnt western style of painting at The University of Buffalo. For last five years, she is pursuing her passion by teaching drawing and painting to young pupils.
